A Bit About Chunk
Chunk is a happy, confident, and naturally social boy who made an immediate approach to the tester with a friendly attitude. He had a really nice energy throughout the evaluation—playful and engaged without feeling overly intense. He showed a strong interest in toys and really enjoyed interacting with them, shaking and carrying them around with enthusiasm. He also stayed close and underfoot, showing that while he enjoys having fun, he still wants to be near his person.

One of Chunk’s biggest strengths is his confidence and willingness to engage with new challenges. He approached the test environment readily and went over the obstacles with ease, showing very little hesitation. His excellent touch tolerance and strong eye contact also stood out, giving him a very connected and comfortable-with-humans quality. He seems to genuinely enjoy interaction with people and is happy to engage when something interesting is presented to him.

Overall, Chunk has a very balanced, easygoing temperament. He has enough playfulness and toy drive to make training and activities fun, but his energy remains pleasant and manageable. His confidence, resilience, and happy-go-lucky personality make him a puppy who should be able to take new experiences in stride. He came across as fairly “bomb proof,” with a wonderful combination of confidence, affection, playfulness, and adaptability.
Best Fit for Chunk
Chunk would be a great fit for a family looking for a fun, confident, and well-rounded companion. He would especially suit a family that wants a dog who enjoys playing, toys, training, and being involved in family activities. His natural confidence and strong connection with people should make him enjoyable to train, while his happy-go-lucky personality gives him the flexibility to simply hang out and enjoy life with his family. He would be a great “let’s go do something!” dog who is equally happy being right underfoot with his people.
May Not be the Best Fit for Chunk
Chunk may not be the best match for someone looking for an extremely mellow or independent puppy who has little interest in toys or interaction. He is playful, enjoys carrying and engaging with toys, and clearly likes being involved with his person. His family should expect a puppy who wants to participate and be part of the action rather than one who is content to quietly observe from across the room.
