Frequently Asked Questions
We know that buying a puppy is a big commitment! This page is here to help! I've listed multiple questions below that I believe may help. If by chance, you don't see your question listed below, feel free to call me at (319) 931-2528 or email me at email@example.com.
What is a Mini Bernedoodle?
A Mini Bernedoodle is a Bernese Mountain Dog crossed with a Miniature Poodle. This is a fairly new cross that combines the lovely quirkiness of a Mini Poodle with the sweet loyalty of a Bernese. Did I mention that the Mini Bernedoodle is loved for it's low-to-no shedding quality? Doodles are also said to be non-allergenic in most cases!
How big do average adult Mini Bernedoodles get?
The average size of a Mini Bernedoodle is about 45 lbs. They can weigh more or less depending upon a number of different variables, such as food and exercise. They tend to be around 12-17 inches at the shoulder.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a $500 deposit is required upon picking the puppy of your choice. This deposit is non-refundable, and that is for a very important reason. A deposit, to me, is an act of commitment that says that you want a Country Lane puppy and you would wait any amount of time to get one! That kind of commitment means the world to me, and shows me that the puppy you will choose is going to a home that will give it the love and respect it deserves. Deposits can be made through Paypal, credit card, cash, or cashiers check.
What are your prices?
Please contact me for prices on the puppy you are interested in at firstname.lastname@example.org or (319) 931-2528.
I accept most major credit cards, payment through Paypal, cash, or cashiers check sent through Priority Mail (that way you and I have a tracking number to ensure secure delivery.)
Do you ship?
Yes! We are excited to offer shipping as an option anywhere in the U.S.! Just goes to show that true love knows no distance! Does my puppy come with registration?
Yes! Whether you are purchasing a Bernese Mountain Dog or a Mini Bernedoodle, your puppy will come with a registration application. We register all of our Bernese litters through the American Kennel Club and our Mini Bernedoodle litters are recognized with the International Canine Association Inc.
Do you have a health guarantee?
Yes! I offer a one year health guarantee that covers your puppy from any fatal and congenital/genetic diseases that negatively affect the health of your puppy. If you'd like to review the contract in full, click here! This contract that will be signed by both of us, ensures that I have done my part as the breeder, and holds you responsible for continuing the care of your new puppy.
Do you require me to spay/neuter my puppy?
Yes, it is required of you to spay or neuter your new puppy at an appropriate age, which is listed in the neuter agreement contract provided by me when you recieve your new puppy. The puppy is being sold to you with the intentions of having it as a pet. If you would like to purchase the puppy for the purpose of breeding, I will use my discretion on a case by case basis. Proof of spay or neuter must be sent to me within a year of age, or the contract will become null.
What kind of puppy food do you feed?
I know that there could be a book written on the subject of what food is best to feed your canine. At Country Lane Kennels, we feed a premium puppy food to our momma's and babies during the nursery stage. That food is Royal Canin. Royal Canin has been a brand that we have stuck with for a number of reasons. They absolutely love it--being the first! A sample bag of Royal Canin - Medium Puppy will be sent with your puppy upon picking up! Along with the food sample, a pamphlet full of information on getting started with your new puppy will be sent with you the day you bring your puppy home!
What if I want to feed a different food to my puppy?
Feeding a different food is totally up to you! To prevent any tummy issues, I reccomend mixing our food from the sample that is given in with your different food. You can slowly wean your puppy off his or her previous diet by mixing in a little bit less Royal Canin in each day, for about a week, until you are soley feeding your new food!
I'm a firm believer in the golden rule: treat people how you would like to be treated. With that being said, any information that is shared with me will be kept private, unless told otherwise! Any pictures that you would like to share on my website are WELCOME! :)
I have the right to refuse a sale to any home I see that is unfit.
