A Bit About Eagle

Eagle is a very sweet, people-oriented girl with a strong desire to connect with her human. Throughout her evaluation, her connection with the tester was very difficult to break, which is a wonderful indication of her natural human focus. She enjoys interaction and showed a nice willingness to engage with the tester while remaining interested in what was being asked of her.

Eagle also showed a strong play/retrieve instinct. She happily chased the ball and, importantly, came back when called rather than becoming completely absorbed in the toy. This combination of playfulness and responsiveness is a really nice quality. She has plenty of motivation and enjoys having something to engage with, while still maintaining that connection with her person.

Her scores show good confidence and excellent nerve strength/resiliency, along with a higher motivation and human/pack focus. She also demonstrated low sensitivity to sudden sounds and sights, which suggests she is likely to take environmental surprises in stride. The one softer piece of her temperament is that she was somewhat whiny during the evaluation. This appears more related to wanting reassurance/connection than an inability to cope, as she continued engaging and maintained her connection with the tester.

Best Fit for Eagle

Eagle would be an excellent fit for a family looking for a sweet, highly people-focused companion who enjoys both affection and play. She could be a particularly nice match for an active family who wants a dog that will enjoy playing, retrieving, learning, and participating in family activities while still being very connected to her people. Her strong human focus and responsiveness could also make her a fun puppy for someone interested in training and building a close relationship with their dog.
