When we first started Country Lane Bernedoodles, it was just the two of us—newlyweds with a big dream and an even bigger love for dogs. In the beginning, the vision was simple: create a breeding program that felt like family, where puppies were raised with intention, not just produced for demand. We wanted to do things differently—ethically, responsibly, and with so much heart.

 

We didn’t have the experience, structure, or space we have now, but we had passion and a deep belief in doing things the right way, even if it took longer. We learned, we grew, and through every early litter we poured in love, time, and purpose. From the start, we knew this was more than just “raising puppies.” We were building connections, growing families, and sharing the joy dogs had brought into our own lives.

 

As the years passed, our program evolved—and so did we.

 

Becoming parents changed everything in the most beautiful way. The dream we once held as newlyweds now lives and breathes through our children. Including them in the puppy raising process has been one of the greatest gifts of our lives. Our kids have learned compassion, responsibility, gentleness, and the magic of loving something deeply. Puppies and children grow side by side here—learning, playing, and blooming together.

 

We’ve also walked through seasons where dogs were more than just pets… they were comfort, stability, and quiet reminders of hope. In the hardest moments of our lives, they brought peace when words weren’t enough. Their presence reminded us why this work matters. Those experiences deepened our “why” and strengthened our commitment to raising dogs who bring that same healing into other families’ lives.

 

Today, Country Lane Bernedoodles is still built on the same core values we started with—love, intention, family, and integrity—but the dream has grown into so much more. What began with two people and a vision has become a family-run legacy. Our program is now structured, ethically grounded, backed by proven puppy curriculum and health practices, and known for raising confident, emotionally stable, deeply loved puppies.

 

But at our core, nothing has changed:
