A Bit About Masque

Masque is a confident, people-oriented girl with a wonderful balance of playfulness and composure. She approaches people politely, enjoys affection, and quickly settles into engagement with her person. She showed high motivation and human focus, making her a puppy who genuinely enjoys interacting and working with her human.

She loves toys and chasing a ball, but she isn’t overly frantic or constantly “on.” Her balanced energy level gives her the ability to enjoy play and then transition into a calmer state when appropriate. She also demonstrated a nice ability to switch between drives and remained engaged with the tester throughout the assessment.

Masque was confident navigating obstacles and showed excellent resilience and touch tolerance. She had very little reaction to sudden sights or sounds and recovered easily when something caught her attention. Her combination of confidence, motivation, and resilience gives her a great foundation for continued training and exposure.

She also showed an assertive social personality with other dogs, so she is likely to enjoy an active household where she can participate and engage.

Best Fit for Masque

Masque would be an excellent fit for a family looking for a confident, outgoing, human-focused companion who wants to be involved in their daily life. She would do well with families who enjoy training, adventures, walks, activities, and interactive play. She has the motivation to learn and work with her person while still having the ability to settle. She could be a particularly nice match for someone looking for a puppy with the confidence and resilience to accompany them in a variety of environments.

May Not be the Best Fit for Masque

She may not be the best match for a family looking for an especially quiet, low-drive, or very laid-back puppy. Masque has strong motivation, prey drive, and an assertive social personality, so she will benefit from continued structure, training, appropriate outlets for her energy, and ongoing socialization. She is not likely to be happiest simply lounging around all day without much engagement.
