A Bit About Noir

Noir is a confident, outgoing, playful girl with a big personality packed into a fun, energetic little body. She was ready to go the moment she came out of the gate and immediately approached the tester with enthusiasm. She was affectionate from the start, rolling over for belly rubs and happily climbing into the tester’s lap. She has a wonderful combination of confidence, social interest, and strong human engagement.

Noir has a high motivation and prey drive, and she genuinely enjoys having something to do. Toys are especially rewarding for her. She enjoys carrying them around, chasing a ball, and engaging in active play. She is the type of puppy who will happily participate in games and adventures rather than waiting for someone else to entertain her. Her confidence and resilience also make her fairly bomb-proof, and she handled the challenges of the evaluation with a positive, forward attitude.

Her energy is definitely on the higher side, and she prefers being actively engaged on the ground rather than being restrained when she’s ready to play. While she enjoys affection and willingly seeks out her people, she has a more independent, active side that wants to get back to the fun. This is an important part of her personality. Noir isn’t likely to be content simply sitting in someone’s lap all day when there are adventures to be had!

Best Fit for Noir

Noir would be an excellent match for an active family looking for a confident, fun-loving adventure companion. She would thrive with people who want to include their dog in outings, training, games, hiking, exploring, and other activities. Her confidence, resilience, toy interest, and strong motivation give her a lot of potential for training and engagement. She would especially shine with a family who appreciates a bold, playful dog with plenty of personality and is willing to give her appropriate outlets for her energy and drive.

May Not be the Best Fit for Noir

Noir would probably not be the best choice for someone looking for a very mellow, low-energy puppy who naturally prefers cuddling and relaxing over play and activity. She has a strong desire to engage with her environment and enjoys movement, toys, and chasing. She’ll also benefit from learning impulse control and an appropriate off-switch as she matures, since her enthusiasm can sometimes be bigger than her patience for sitting still.
